THE CARD
Darkness will obscure the path of the holder. The mighty god judges. Lack of innocence and communion with the world. Being held to the dark. The spirit, eager to suffer, darkens the soul. Darkening of the spirit.
Distortion of the light. Evil is close, the dark bodies rise, negative influences approaching. Light is diffused.
For Good and Light to exist is crucial that its counterparts, Evil and Dark, exist. Without darkness there is no light, the same way that there is no good without evil. Arien was in Agharo the name given to the dark side of Sihd, the Guardian of the Dark, Neharen.
THE ARTIST
Salloom is a DJ and co-founder of HobTape, a collective rooted in dark disco, EBM, and underground club culture. I started DJing when I realized I didn’t just want to listen to the music I loved, but to live inside it and share that moment with others on the dance floor.
I’ve always been drawn to depth — music that feels warm yet unsettling, personal yet expansive. My sets move through complex, sometimes chaotic elements that stay harmonic at their core: dark but joyful, intense but emotional. DJing, for me, is about creating a temporary universe where people can lose themselves and feel connected.
