Sinchi & Friends 69 is MR TC who is about to release his latest EP ‘The Depth of Haze’ on Lyon based Hard Fist records. The label headed up by Cornelius Doctor and Tushen Raï, has a fine pedigree working with artists such as Bawrut, Shadi Khries, J.A.K.A.M., Pletnev, Khidja, Fringe Society, Timothy Clerkin, Ko Shin Moon, Lokier and Simple Symmetry.
In advance of the release coming mid Feb, we asked how it came about?
I met Baptiste from the label when we played the MR TC live show at Nuits Sonores in 2017. We got on really well and when he came to start the label he asked if I’d like to do a release with them. I sent them these tracks as I made them and when Khidja and Lokier sent us their remixes we had an EP.

ABOUT
1) Introduce yourself?
My name is Thomas Lea Clarke, I’m a DJ and musician/producer based in Glasgow.
2) What have been the highlights of the past 12 months?
My highlight of last year was putting out ‘The Storm EP’ on Neubau with Lo Kindre and Heap. I was really happy with how it turned out and it felt great to be putting out a record with friends. I was also lucky to play some really great gigs to amazing crowds in the past year. Some that jump to mind are the live show we played at Razzmatazz in Barcelona and DJing in Palanga with 12 Incu Po Zeme.
3) What do you have lined up for the coming year
In terms of musical output I’ve got 3 EPs lined up to come out this year. One being the next one on Hard Fist, as well as an EP on ‘Against Fascism Tracks’ (the new sub label of Optimo Music) and finally another Joint EP with Lo Kindre that we’ll be putting out as the first release on our new label ‘Phase Group’ which we’ll be launching soon. We have quite a few releases in pipeline for the label so I’m very excited about that.
4) Tell us about 3 DJ’s / Producer’s we may not know but should be looking out for?
Sofay from Glasgow and Low Bat from Berlin are both amazing DJs and Andria from Belgrade is an incredibly talented producer to keep your eye on.
5) What is your favourite Venue or Festival to play at and why?
The gig I have the fondest memories of was playing at 20/44 in Belgrade. It was a really special night that I won’t forget. perfect people, perfect place, nothing went wrong.
