We’re back with new releases from the label, and we’re kicking things off with something very special. By a fortunate coincidence, we’re able to share music from one of the projects that has most influenced us.

In 2022, Technicism, a key member of the label, provided us with an edit for our free download series. The track was an edit of “Dama Fina” by TITÁN, a fundamental project in Mexican electronic music since the 1990s, comprised of Emilio Acevedo, Julián Lede, and, at that time, Jay de la Cueva. Their legacy extends to projects like Silverio and María Daniela y su Sonido Lasser, as well as collaborations with artists like Gary Numan.

The edit, initially shared for non-profit purposes, quickly exceeded our expectations and became a favorite on alternative platforms like SoundCloud and Hypedditt, also circulating in DJ sets in Mexico and expanding its reach.

Eventually, the track reached Emilio Acevedo, who expressed interest in using it in his own sets. From that initial approach, the project evolved from an unofficial edit to an authorized remix, finally allowing us to officially share it through Nativo.
