Now based in Derry – the cultural home of boundary-pushing festival Celtronic, international underground DJ/producer Or:la and the live electronics of The Cyclist – Scoobz has steadily carved a presence within Ireland’s underground, first gaining national attention with a win at AVA Festival’s Emerging DJ Competition—a key platform for rising talent on the island. His profile grew further when Avalon Emerson selected his track “Goth Culchies” for her BBC Radio 1 Residency, spotlighting the producer’s knack for left-of-centre club textures with a distinctly local hue.

‘Twitchin’ lends its name from iconic Belfast club night Twitch, who have been running parties in the city for nearly two decades. It’s the type of track that his ‘Sluggish Selections’ show on Dublin Digital Radio was created for; chugging electronics, Italo-flavour and reverberating synth-lines cast a nightmarish embrace upon its listeners, lulling them into the murky depths, before the EPs most emotive track arrives at its climax, with the Bicep-esque breakbeats and moment-building nature of ‘Arp Sailing’
