Meze is the second release by Butter Boys and explores one of the strongest rituals in Cypriot culture: food. Across four tracks, the EP deconstructs familiar flavors, voices and traditions, transforming everyday memories into new emotional landscapes.

Inspired by the meals we shared growing up with family and friends, Meze reimagines Cypriot food beyond nostalgia. Rather than documenting tradition, it breaks it apart and rebuilds it through sound, inviting listeners to reconnect with something deeply familiar in unexpected ways.

Blending house, breakbeats and moments that sit somewhere in between, the EP layers chopped vocals, field recordings and playful textures into warm, rhythmic compositions. Each track celebrates a different dish, using food not only as a symbol of culture, but as a universal language of connection, generosity and belonging.

Meze is a reminder that some of our strongest memories are created around the table, and that the simplest things often bring us together.
