After his 2015 stomper EP on Correspondant, Max Jones makes his debut on Mexican imprint Duro with 2 originals that are accompanied with remixes.

‘Perisur’ is a sinister yet salacious, heavy-breathbing Detroit workout, that sees an unlikely cocktail of elements come together and writhe ecstatically in it’s dark, deviant energy. A quiet and confident menace drives the whole track, tightening it’s grip on the listener with every beat, so that by the closing bars, you’ve somehow managed to volunteer full surrender to the tracks unsettling and uncertain fate.

Jepe takes on remix duties and creates an unfussy and rapidly addictive, swing-loaded groove, that stoically stalks the stave, and struts it’s sure-footed strut. That is, until the devastating analogue hum of dark Detroit waves appear on the horizon, quickly growing into looming towers of seductive, enveloping noise.
