It’s been 16 years since Throne of Blood Recordings came into existence. Originally conceived as a platform to release vinyl singles from NYC legends The Rapture, the label has grown and evolved into a stalwart of leftfield electronic music and a launchpad for some massively influential artists including Daniel Avery and Bicep.

Hitting this milestone has made them contemplate their place in the world, reflecting on the relationships that have forged Throne of Blood’s legacy, as an incubator for tomorrow’s most remarkable artists. So they put together a series of anniversary EPs that bring their past and future together on the dance floor.

The first of four releases, Anniversary EP #1 features longtime label friend and collaborator Chloé Thévenin of Parisian powerhouse Lumiere Noire Records, label manager Max Pask in collaboration with Tigersushimainman Joakim, NYC techno mainstay and Bunker affiliate Justin Cudmore, and Liona, a wildly talented producer from Ulaanbaatar.

Four musical points of view with one goal in mind: making people dance. And there’s loads more to come across four EPs dropping this Fall.
