Amsterdam resident with Portuguese roots, Pedro Martins is a connoisseur, crate digger and the founder of Karakter Records, an international label and cult dedicated to the hypnotic, rhythmic and intense alternative music.
As a digger he revolves records and collections in search of the most eclectic selections and his knack for quality and selection has landed him gigs in an ever expanding list of booths in various events and venues in the Netherlands and beyond, such as De Marktkantine, Radion, Chicago Social Club, Ruigoord, Magneet Festival, Georgies Festival, Into the Woods and Red Light Radio in Amsterdam. Het Magazijn in Den Haag, Poema in Utrecht, Sisyphos, Burg Schnabel in Berlin. Furthermore, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Porto, Lisboa, Boom Festival also in Portugal, Rio de Janeiro, London and Frankfurt among other places.
As a DJ, Pedro has gone far and intends to keep it going . On the production side, after having his own EP released on Karakter, Pedro is focused in producing new music to release during 2019.
