Rick Offen continues the MORDIDA remix series with a third and final chapter, this time built entirely around Portuguese artists.

From the beginning, the remix series was imagined as part of the wider MORDIDA experience, giving the music another space to exist through the perspectives of artists Offen admires. Across the previous chapters, the album has been pulled in different directions, reshaped by different sensibilities and allowed to take on forms that sit beyond the original record.

For Pt.3, the focus shifts entirely to Portugal, bringing together five artists with very different approaches to electronic music.

HIGHLECTRiX takes on AM I YOU, Alfonsvs reworks MORDIDA, Jepe turns to TEMPO, Vallechi revisits FLOR AZUL, while Bobby Dreams takes M.Y.B. somewhere new.

Each artist was chosen for the individuality of their work and given the freedom to respond to the original material in their own way. The result moves through different rhythms, moods and levels of intensity, with familiar parts of MORDIDA appearing in places and forms that weren’t there before.

Pt.3 also offers a particular view of Portuguese electronic music without trying to define it. The five artists come from different backgrounds, generations and musical spaces, and it is precisely that contrast that gives the release its character.

MORDIDA (Remixes Pt.3) brings the remix series full circle, closing this chapter with five distinct Portuguese voices while opening MORDIDA up one last time to new energy and new possibilities.
