Chinotto Records welcomes Scotia, Hudson Valley’s high priestess of acid, for the third edition of the Tarocco Singles Club. Beguiled by 1997 releases from Daft Punk and Wu-Tang Clan, Scotia’s musical fate was sealed when she was gifted a used Juno 60 synth for her sixteenth birthday. The past few years saw her criss-crossing the US to charm audiences with DJ and live sets at grassroots raves and iconic clubs like Wrecked and the Bunker. She’s released tracks on a number of comps, including Acid For Trans Health, House of Others, and PPRZ Recordings, as well as an EP with Acid Camp, “Giving Chase.” Scotia builds her tracks on a foundation of classic drum machines and sequenced analog synths, heavy on mood, color, and dust; this pair is no exception.
